Jackie Lee Agnew brings political experience as a Municipal Councillor since 2014 in Bonnechere Valley Township. For the past eight years Jackie has worked as Program Coordinator for Housing and Homelessness with Renfrew County Housing Corporation. It has given her an opportunity to make a difference with people who are in the greatest need. Jackie Lee has also worked for the Renfrew County District School Board as both a School Support Councillor and Educational Assistant. In the various volunteer positions Jackie has held, being on the United Way Board of Directors for four years was a great learning and giving opportunity. Passionate about the lack of adequate mental health services in the County of Renfrew, Jackie Lee has recently started a Mental Health Task Force. She is looking forward to the larger platform of the campaign to promote this important initiative.
If elected Jackie Agnew will continue to be a fierce advocate for Renfrew County and will continue her devotion to ensuring much needed access to Mental Health Care, Housing and other social justice issues for the people of Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke. “I have dedicated my life to social justice and improving mental health services. I am hoping to be able to do more for our community at a Provincial level.
Jackie’s vision for Renfrew County is a County where business thrives, a working wage works, affordable housing is available for all, mental health care is easily accessible, education is a priority, small businesses have a voice and tourism is strong.
Jackie and her husband Steve Agnew live in the village of Eganville. They are the proud parents to three children between them and one grandchild. Both Steve and Jackie are very active in their community and can be found assisting with many charity events.
