I know political life and am ready to be your provincial member of parliament. You need someone who listens to you, who never gives up fighting for you, and will achieve positive results for you. I am that person!
My experiences as a working parent, an entrepreneur, a business person, being and working with students and community volunteers has enabled me to identify with a wide range of people. I have worked extensively with people in every situation with respect and dignity. For example, through my work with the Food Bank, I try to ensure that all clients have an experience akin to shopping in a store, by providing options for each client to choose the foods/ingredients to build a healthy happy home. These experiences have prepared me to be able to identify with a wide range of people, and enable me to listen and fight for you.
Who am I?
I was born in Ottawa. In 1978 I married Shad Qadri (current City of Ottawa Councillor, representing Stittsville) and together we raised two wonderful children, and have been blessed with five amazing grandchildren. My family has a long prominent history in this community.
I have long been active in our community on many fronts. I have owned and operated businesses throughout Ottawa, have avidly volunteered with many organizations and remain an active community leader. I am honoured to be a recipient of the Governor General’s Sovereign Medal for Volunteers and a Communitas Award winner for my work in the community.
