Long-time radio broadcaster Rob Snow launched his new talk show on 1310 NEWS and Rogers tv Monday morning.
Listeners can continue to tune into The Rob Snow Show every weekday from 9 a.m. to noon to hear the latest in current events and discuss hot button issues.
"Our listeners can expect to hear Rob's unique take on issues as he delves into the story behind the story," 1310 NEWS News Director Glennis Lane explained.
Mayor Jim Watson also took the time to call in to 1310 NEWS Monday to welcome Snow.
"We'll not always agree on everything but you're always very respectful and fair, and I think that's two of the great attributes of people in journalism," Watson said.
Snow, a native of Cape Breton Island, received his education at Carleton University and Algonquin College before launching his radio career in the late 90s on 106.1 CHEZ. He considers himself a voracious reader and political junkie.
Listeners can interact with Snow on Twitter at @RobSnow15.
Snow is taking over the time slot which previously was hosted by Ottawa Today Host Mark Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe, who has spent 35 years in broadcasting, decided to reduce his radio schedule to one hour each day, down from four.
Listeners can catch Sutcliffe on Ottawa Today starting at noon.
