1310 NEWS to host special program, getting updates from all angles of Westboro bus crash

Host Mark Sutcliffe will be talking to affected community members, as well as emergency and city officials.

1310 NEWS' Mark Sutcliffe is set to host two hours of special programming, following a devastating bus crash at Westboro Station.

Starting at 8 a.m., Saturday, Sutcliffe is kicking off the show speaking with Ottawa Police Chief Charles Bordeleau.

That interview is expected to be followed by other conversations with crash witnesses, community leaders and transit officials.

The show runs until 10 a.m., and then will be replayed in its entirety.

Three people were killed when a double-decker bus struck Westboro Station at 3:50 p.m., Friday. Overall, 23 people were injured in the incident, 17 were sent to hospital, and Ottawa paramedics say several are in serious condition.

The driver of the OC Transpo bus was taken into police custody for questioning, as the Ottawa Police Service continues its investigation.
