Body discovered in Killaloe home after fire

Police in the upper Ottawa Valley are investigating after a body was discovered inside a home.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Mask Road in Killaloe on Wednesday around 10:45 a.m. for a garage fire that quickly spread to the home. 

Once firefighters got the fire out, police officers walking through the home discovered human remains. 

The body has not been identified. 

The Ontario Fire Marshalls Office,  the Office of the Coroner, the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit and the Renfrew County Crime Unit are still investigating.
