A boil water advisory remains in effect this morning for about 24,000 homes in Gatineau.
The advisory was issued because of a problem during work on the Main booster pumping station.
Residents affected by the boil-water advisory are being told to boil their water for one minute before drinking it, or using it to cook or brush their teeth. City officials say there is no problem for showering or laundry, but that if your tap water is brownish, to let the tap run until the water turns clear again.
The boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.
