Bluesfest organizers have annouced a concert series for this year's Winterlude festival.

The 'Come See & Hear the World' event will take place on February 15 and 16 at four venues in the city.

Featured artists include JUNO award winning singer and songwriter William Prince, celebrated Inuk throat singer and author Tanya Tagaq, and Toronto area cover band Dwayne Gretzky.

Ten musical events will be held.

Events at Southminster United Church, 15 Aylmer Ave., and the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church, 816 Bank St., will require tickets for their shows, but the shows taking place at at CRAFT Beer Market, 975 Bank St., and Industria Pizzeria + Bar, 225 Marché Way in Lansdowne Park are free.

Mark Monahan, the festival's executive and artistic director, told 1310 NEWS, "Its a great opportunity to come out and see some artists at a reasonable price, at a great time of year when typically there's not a lot going on," adding that, "In addition to the music, we've also partnered with the writers festival and we're presenting a book reading by Tanya Tagaq."
