Cyclists hit during morning commute

The two cyclists were hit about a half-hour apart, and both have injuries that are considered minor.

Two cyclists were struck in traffic, Wednesday morning, one of them just blocks from city hall.

A man on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle just after 7 a.m., at Laurier and O'Connor.

The man was taken to hospital with a minor injury to his hand.

Police are investigating.

A second cyclist was struck just a half-hour later, at McArthur and Dundas. Ottawa Paramedics tell 1310 NEWS, the woman on the bicycle also had minor injuries, and was treated and released at the scene.
