This year's Capital Pride is happening virtually, but organizers are still packing Pride week with as much entertainment as possible.

Between August 23 and 30, there is expected to be a full program of exciting online events, a drive-in drag show, the Queer Talent Extravaganza, QTBIPOC DJ FYAH Battle, and the annual Capital Pride Pageant. Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite contestants on, with the finalists competing head-to-head for the Capital Pride 2020 titles.

"I am so excited for this year’s virtual Pride festival," says new Capital Pride Executive Director Osmel Guerra Maynes. "We have worked so hard to make sure that we are putting our community first, and showing our true colours, wherever we are"

'Wherever we are' is the theme for this year's festival.

Virtual Pride will also feature 2SLGBTQ+ performers and artists from across the National Capital Region and some of the biggest names from the hit TV series RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Capital Pride’s 2020 Grand Marshals will be the region’s 2SLGBTQ+ health workers.
