Ottawa Fire crews were busy battling a fire in an Orléans home on Tuesday night.

Firefighters were called to the house on Neptune Way by the homeowner and neighbours around 8 p.m. for reports of flames and smoke coming from the garage and second floor.

Everyone, including the two family cats, made it out safely by the time fire crews arrived.

The fire was knocked down quickly and deemed under control before 9 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
