Four charged in Carling Avenue drug bust

OPP officers charge four after executing a search warrant at an illegal cannabis storefront.

Four Ottawa residents have been charged with various cannabis-related offences after police executed a search warrant on Thursday.

The raid was conducted by the OPP's Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team, their Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Ottawa Police Service on an illegal cannabis storefront on Carling Avenue.

Officers seized more than $5,000 in cannabis oils and edibles, a designer purse valued at more than $1,000 and approximately $4,000 in Canadian and U.S. currency

Charged are:

  • Thi Hong Nga Nguyen, 38 : Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, Possession of illicit cannabis, Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Tan Phang Pham, 47 : Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, Possession of illicit cannabis 
  • Tan Nhuan PHAM, 35 : Possession of illicit cannabis 
  • Hoang Ngoc Han VU, 18 : Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, Distributing illicit Cannabis 

All four have been released and are scheduled to appear in Ottawa court on July 30.
