Gatineau man charged in serious Lanark County crash

Two passengers remain in hospital with possible life-altering injuries.

Charges have been laid in connection to a serious single-vehicle collision in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. last Saturday, provincial police responded to the scene west of Rideau Ferry, near Echo Bay Drive, where a vehicle had crashed into a ditch. 

Two passengers were seriously injured in the crash and remain in hospital with possible life-altering injuries. 

The driver, Matthew Wilson, 25, of Gatineau, faces impaired driving charges and is due in a Perth courtroom on October 23. 

Police say his licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
