A GoFundMe has been started to help a stroke victim replace her modified tricycle after it was stolen.

The trike was taken outside her building in Ottawa on July 2 around noon.

Thuy, 28, had a stroke when she was 15-years-old during surgery for Arteriovenous Malformations. Doctors didn't know whether walking, eating, and even talking again would be possible, However, through physio and rehabilitation, Thuy regained all those capacities.

Thuy struggles with hemiplegia paralysis on her right side, as a consequence of the ways her brain was injured by the stroke.

The trike is Thuy's way of being able to be independent and help her have a fitness regime.

The GoFundMe page for Thuy is asking for $4,000.
