The latest televised local debate has seen a fiery exchange between provincial candidates in Ottawa Centre, where they piled on the Liberal incumbent.

Moderator Mark Sutcliffe asked Liberal candidate Yasir Naqvi what responsibility he and his colleagues have for the scandals and other issues involving his government.

"No government is perfect, and mistakes do get made," said Naqvi. "I think it's important to take responsibility of the mistakes, and to learn from them."

Naqvi then highlighted some of his government's accomplishments -- like OHIP+ and free tuition.

"I wonder if Ontarians are ready to not be marketed to," responded Joel Harden, Ottawa Centre NDP candidate. "Because that's just what we heard."

PC candidate Colleen McCleery also went after Naqvi, claiming he never answered the original question.

The Ottawa Centre debate airs at 1 p.m. today on ROGERS tv and will re-air through the campaign. It and the other local candidates' debates can be found on YouTube.
