Ottawa police investigating shooting in Overbrook

The man who was shot was wounded, but he is expected to survive.

A young man is in hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting on Du Père Charlebois Avenue in Overbrook.

The incident happened Wednesday at 9:00 p.m., inside of an apartment. 

The victim, in his late teens, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.  

The Guns and Gangs Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Investigators believe that the incident was targeted. They are asking witnesses to come forward.
