As floodwaters continue to rise on the Ottawa River, more help is needed to fill sandbags at three locations across the city, Monday.

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the following locations:

  • Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, 2940 Old Montreal Road (A shuttle will transport volunteers from the Museum to the site and back.)
  • Constance and Buckham's Bay Community Centre, 262 Len Purcell Drive
  • Ron Kolbus Centre, 102 Greenview Drive (upper parking lot)

The city says volunteers helping to fill sandbags should prepare accordingly and be dressed appropriately.

More than 850 volunteers pitched in at City of Ottawa-run sandbagging centres over the Easter weekend.
