Richard Sobkowicz says it feels surreal to have won $15.7-million.

The 68-year-old Nepean man took home $15,764,627.10 after winning in the July 3 Lotto 6/49 draw.

"The ticket checker showed the words 'Big Winner' and when the store manager gave me my validation slip with the prize amount I recall saying, 'That's nice.' I was calm on the outside only," laughed Sobkowicz.

The married retiree plans to take care of his family and invest some of his windfall.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Fallowfield Road in Nepean.
