No one injured in Vanier house fire

Ottawa Fire Service officials say the home on Jolliet Avenue was vacant.

Flames are out in the basement of a vacant home on Jolliet Avenue in Vanier.

Ottawa firefighters were called to 100 Jolliet Ave. at 1:27 p.m., Wednesday.

A 911 caller could see smoke coming from the basement of the residence. 

Once on scene, fire crews declared a working fire due to smoke conditions. It was quickly extinguished. 

The fire was declared under control at 1:45 p.m. 

There are no reported injuries at this time. 

An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause.
