Ottawa COVID-19 update: Three deaths, six new cases

Three institutions have been cleared of the virus: Queensway Carleton Hospital's A Three Unit, Elizabeth Bruyere Residence and Shepherds of Good Hope.

Ottawa Public Health is reporting three new COVID-19-related deaths in the community along with six new cases of the virus.

To date, there have been 1,998 laboratory-confirmed cases in Ottawa, including 251 deaths.

The rate of resolved cases has jumped to 87 per cent (1,660).

There are just 31 Ottawa residents with COVID-19 currently in hospital, while 14 ongoing outbreaks in institutions.

Three more institutions were cleared of the virus as of Friday, June 5: Queensway Carleton Hospital's A Three Unit, Elizabeth Bruyere Residence and Shepherds of Good Hope.
