The Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) is asking for the public's help, so it can provide proper care for 71 cats who are suffering from upper respiratory infections (URI), otherwise known as the common cold for cats.

Carrot, the five-month-old kitten pictured in this article, sneezes a lot and has runny eyes. The OHS says, because of his nasal congestion, he’s not eating a lot and needs dietary supplements and subcutaneous fluids.

Two donors have pledged to match every dollar raised before midnight on Tuesday, December 3 (Giving Tuesday).

The OHS explains that doubling the impact of your gift will help provide care for these animals who would otherwise likely be in care twice as long and need at least two times the medical attention and interventions.
