Ottawa man charged with multiple counts of sexual assault

The accused remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court today.

A 31-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with six offences related to sexual assault, assault, and break and enter.

On Saturday, Ottawa police say a woman reported being woken up in her home near St. Laurent Boulevard and Montreal Road and was sexually assaulted. 

Jean-Michel Beauvais has been charged with six offences related to this incident: 

  • Sexual Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Sexual Assault with a Weapon
  • Break and Enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Overcome Resistance/ Attempt to choke
  • Utter threats to Cause Bodily Harm
  • Assault Police

Beauvais remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court today.
