Ottawa man killed in snowmobile crash

An Ottawa man was pronounced dead at the scene of a snowmobile crash in North Frontenac Township.

An Ottawa man has been killed after striking a tree on a trail in North Frontenac Township.

OPP were called to the crash scene on Wednesday around 3:40 p.m. after reports that a snow machine struck a tree on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trail near Elphin-Maberley Road.

Officers along with the North Frontenac Fire Department and the Lanark County Ambulance Service located the driver who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver has been identified as 41-year-old Charles McLeod Ottawa.
An investigation into the collision continues.
