One man has been charged with multiple weapons offences in connection to a seizure in the city's east end.
During the month of November, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) began an investigation into drug trafficking, and on Friday, November 20, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the Elmvale Acres area.
Officers seized a loaded firearm, an unloaded firearm, ammunition, an expandable baton and drug paraphernalia.
Justin Fonzon, 26 of Ottawa, faces the following charges:
- Two counts of possession of a firearm obtained by crime
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Two counts of careless storage of a firearm
Fonzon was due in court Friday.
