The Ottawa Police Service is looking for witnesses to a fatal crash west of the city.
Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Upper Dwyer Hill Road at Vaughan Side Road, near Mississippi Mills, around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they confirmed the serious collision, reporting that the one vehicle had rolled over onto its roof in a ditch, while a second vehicle was still on the roadway.
Two people had to be extricated from their vehicle. Paramedics transported one patient by Ornge Air and the second patient by ambulance to hospital.
An update from police Wednesday night said one of those people had since died.
There were a number of road closures in place for more than 12 hours while police investigated. All roads have reopened.
