Ottawa Fire Services battled a blaze Wednesday morning in Overbrook.
Crews were called to 251 Donald Street just before 8:30 a.m. for a fire on the seventh floor of an apartment building.
Officials say the blaze was contained to a single apartment but that there was a lot of heavy smoke in the building.

No one was home at the time of the fire but three people are being treated by Ottawa paramedics. The extent of their injuries is not known.
Firefighters did rescue a dog from the seventh floor hallway.
A fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause.
It's not yet known how many people will be displaced by the blaze.
This is the third fire in the same apartment building in less than a year.
On August 2nd, a fire broke out on the 14th floor of 251 Donald Street. A 63-year-old man died as a result of the blaze.
In December of last year, a major fire broke out in this same building which left all 230 people living there homeless for days.
