VIA Rail is re-introducing more trains on some of its routes, following an increase in demand.

The rail company will be adding trains 52, 48 and 59 to the Toronto-Kingston-Ottawa route, while trains 62 and 669 are resuming service on the Toronto-Kingston-Montreal route, effective as of Wednesday and until further notice.

VIA Rail is urging passengers to wear a non-medical mask or face covering while on-board and unable to properly practice physical distancing.

The company also says in a statement, travellers that are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms or have been denied travel within the past 14 days due to medical reasons related to COVID-19 will not be allowed on-board.
