Charges laid after threat made to religious statue on Heron Road

An Ottawa man is due in court.

The Ottawa Police Hate Crime Section has charged a man after it got word of a threat regarding a religious statue on Heron Road.

Officers began investigating a threat to deface the statue on Tuesday.

Lance Crossley, 48, of Ottawa, was charged with:

  • Uttering a threat to damage property
  • Breach of a recognizance 

He is schedule to appear in court, Wednesday.
