IDENTIFIED: Man assaulted with six-pack of beer in Kanata, police looking for suspects

The incident happened in the parking lot of a business on Earl Grey Drive, just off Terry Fox Drive.

Update March 26, 7:22 a.m.: Ottawa Police say three people involved in an assault causing bodily harm on Earl Grey Drive in Kanata have been identified.


The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to identify two men and a woman believed to be involved in assault causing bodily harm on Earl Grey Drive in Kanata.

Officers say a woman was having an argument with the two men on March 9, around 8:30 p.m., when a 64-year-old man approached them asking the woman if she needed help.  

That's when police say the two men assaulted the victim, without any provocation, hitting him in the face with a six-pack of beer. 

The woman and both men ran from the scene.

Suspect #1 is described as:

  • White
  • 20-25 years old
  • Medium build
  • Was wearing dark pants, white and black shoes, a black jacket with a dark hoodie underneath and a white and black hat

Suspect #2 is described as:

  • White
  • 20-25 years old
  • Slim build
  • Was wearing a construction-type dark jacket with reflective yellow stripes, a red hoodie underneath, beige pants and black and white hat

The female involved is described as:

  • White
  • Long dark hair
  • Was wearing dark clothing
