The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit has charged a man after several cases of sexual assault, harassment and mischief.

Police launched an investigation in late May after victims came forward to report they had been watched and approached by a man.

On May 27, a young teen said she was approached by a man who put his arm around her and tried to kiss her as she walked along Ogilvie Road.

The next day, two separate incidents were reported by teen girls who said they were approached by a man who claimed he worked for a modelling agency.

In one case, he also offered a ride to one of the young girls saying that he drove a taxi.

Ottawa Police identified their suspect following an incident at a park in Orléans on June 7, 2019.

According to police the man was caught exposing himself.

Salim Bardakji, 39, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault, one count of indecent act, two counts of criminal harassment and four counts of mischief.

Police believe there could be more victims.

Anyone with information should contact the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944.
