The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking into what caused a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7, between Carleton Place and Perth, which left two people dead.
Officers from the Lanark County OPP Detachment responded to the crash, between Drummond Concession 9A and Pauls Road, just before 2 p.m. on November 10.
Police were assisted by members of the Drummond-North Elmsley Fire Department, Lanark County Paramedics and the OPP Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
Highway 7 was shut down until around 9 p.m.
The occupants of one vehicle, D'Thea Webster, 63, and Maureen O'Neill, 81, both of Northbrook, Ontario died as result of injuries suffered in the collision.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 68-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
