OPP seize guns and drugs in Petawawa raid

Two people are facing a number of charges after being arrested at the scene.

A Petawawa couple faces a long list of drugs and weapons charges following a Thursday morning search at home in the town.

OPP Tactical Units and Street Crime investigators executed warrants at a Gerald Street home, and seized guns, various drugs, paraphernalia, ammunition, along with power tools, jewlery and building supplies.

Tyler Gates, 33, and Felicia Valiquette, 30, are charged with:

- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking under 3kg - marihuana
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm - three counts
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle - two counts
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon - two counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Valiquette was released for a November court date, while Gates was held in custody for a bail hearing.
