Ottawa police, bylaw investigating suspected dog fighting and brawl at Meadowlands Mall

According to a tip received by OttawaMatters.com, a car show was being held at the mall when passersby noticed a dog fight.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says it is aware of an incident in the parking lot of Meadowlands Mall in which dog fights were allegedly being staged.

A facebook video, which has since been deleted, showed a brawl which broke out in the parking lot at the corner of Merivale Road and Meadowlands Drive over the weekend.

According to a tip received by OttawaMatters.com on Monday evening, a car show was being held at the mall when passersby noticed dog fights being held. When someone tried to step in and stop the animal fights, a fight broke out.

City of Ottawa bylaw officers are also aware of the incident, while the OPS says it is looking into it.
