UPDATE: Ottawa police identify man in 'suspicious incidents' downtown

No details about the incidents are being released, aside from where and when they allegedly happened.

UPDATE: The wanted person has turned himself in to Ottawa police. No further information is being released in this case.


The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public's help in identifying a man police believe was involved in suspicious incidents at a publicly-accessible building on Elgin Street.

Investigators say the suspicious incidents happened on September 26, 27 and October 9. The building is located on Elgin Street, between Laurier Avenue and Slater Street.

The suspect is described as:

  • Middle Eastern
  • In his 20s
  • 5' 9'' to 6' 0'' (175 cm to 183 cm)
  • Average build
