Police find stolen vehicle, arrest two people at Hunt Club and Prince of Wales

At about 6:45 p.m Thursday, a vehicle that had been reported stolen was stopped.

Police have located a stolen vehicle in the area of Hunt Club Road and Prince of Wales Drive last evening and have made an arrest.

At about 6:45 p.m Thursday, a vehicle that had been reported stolen was stopped. 

The female driver arrested without incident and the male passenger ran away,

He was located hiding in a residential property on Wellsmere Crescent, following a canine track. 

Police charged Cassidy Parsons-Maclahlin, 20, and Abdula Mohrram, 29, both of Ottawa with theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime. 

Parsons-Maclachlin was released on a promise to appear. 

Mohrram is also charged with resisting a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
