Police looking for suspects in Montreal Road robbery

A store clerk was reportedly assaulted during the incident.

The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is hoping that someone recognizes three suspects who robbed a store in Vanier. 

According to police, a woman and two men walked into a store on Montreal Road near Lacasse Avenue around 1:10 a.m. on January 4. 

The woman reportedly started placing items in her bag and then tried to leave without paying. 

The clerk stepped in and locked the door, preventing her from leaving. 

Police said that a struggle ensued and the woman assaulted the clerk, took more merchandise before the two men helped her leave. 

She is described as being Latin American, 5'8 with a medium build and long dark hair. She was wearing a black winter jacket. 

The two male suspects are described as being white, in their 30s with a medium build. One was wearing a grey toque, black jacket and black pants. The other was wearing a pale grey or black sweater with a pale grey jacket and red sunglasses.
