Police seize 83,000 meth tablets in Gatineau drug bust

Officers also found cocaine, MDMA, hash and steroids.

Three people are facing charges after Gatineau police uncovered large amounts of drugs in two homes.

Officers say the the searches happened at 36 Rue Desforges in Gatineau and at 104 Rue Bélanger in Val-des-Bois on Sunday, to put an end to drug trafficking activity in the area.

The investigation started with a tip from thye public and lasted for several weeks.

Two men and a woman, ages 26 to 35, were arrested and charged.

The searches enabled the police to seize:

  • 83,000 methamphetamine tablets
  • 202.4 grams of cocaine
  • 21.1 grams of MDMA
  • 234.2 grams of wax
  • 220.6 grams of hashish
  • 10.6 pounds of cannabis
  • 23 synclis tablets
  • 71 steroid tablets
  • $ 10,000 in Canadian currency
  • 1 retractable stick
  • 1 imitation firearm
  • 1 scale
  • 1 machine used to count money
