Suspects wanted in Canada Day assault with weapon on Terry Fox Drive

Police say a person who was assaulted also had a gun pointed at them.

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public's help to identify two suspects in an assault with a weapon in the Kanata area on Canada Day.

Police say two men in a purple minivan had a dispute with a pedestrian on Terry Fox Drive and ended up assaulting the person and pointing a gun at them on July 1, around 11:40 p.m.

The first suspect was described as:

  • White
  • Short brown hair
  • Goatee
  • Was wearing a red t-shirt with a black ski mask logo on the front

The second suspect was described as:

  • White
  • Brown hair
  • Was wearing reading glasses, a black baseball cap with small white symbol in front, a white t-shirt with red writing in front, grey jeans and white running shoes
