Two men arrested after drug trafficking investigations in Centretown and Barrhaven

Ottawa police officers seized cocaine, crack cocaine and crystal meth in the two locations.

A pair of Ottawa men are facing a number of drug trafficking-related charges after officers uncovered drugs at homes in Centretown and Barrhaven.

Two search warrants at the residences back in September turned up cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth and a 2012 Audi SUV.

Charges were laid as follows:

Christopher Uniat, 26, of Ottawa:

  • Possession for purposes of trafficking Schedule 1 per S. 5(2) CDSA (three counts)
  • Possession of cannabis for the purposes of distributing per S. 9(5) Cannabis Act
  • Possession of proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 per S. 355(b) CC
  • Breach of Probation (Firearms related) per S. 733.1(1) CC

Mohamed Mohamed, 35, of Ottawa:

  • Breach of Recognizance per S. 145(3) CC (eight counts)
  • Possession of proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 per S. 355(b) CC

Both men were also charged with Conspiring to traffic Schedule I Substance per S.465(1)(c) CC

They were both scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
